Funcom Montreal Announced

Norwegian developer Funcom announces plans to take off for the great white north and open a new studio in Montreal, Canada, which is a beauty way to go, though it will not be The Longest Journey ever undertaken by the company. Word is Funcom "will build a strong and competent development team that will work on several games in the Funcom portfolio." The new studio will be staffed by new hires and existing personnel, and there are more details in the official announcement, though this mostly discusses the tax incentives that helped make this possible.
